Southern Railway has extended the Chennai Beach-Vellore Cantonment MEMU train to Tiruvannamalai from May 2. The train will depart from Chennai Beach at 6pm and reach Vellore Cantonment at 9.35pm and Tiruvannamalai at 12.05am. In the return direction, the train will depart from Tiruvannamalai at 4am and reach Vellore Cantonment at 5.40am and Beach at 9.50am. The train will make stops at Pennathur, Kannamangalam, Onnupuram, Sedarampattu, Arni Road, Madimangalam, and Polur.
