SMART is a next-generation missile-based light-weight torpedo delivery system, designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to enhance the anti-submarine warfare capability of the Indian Navy. The system successfully underwent a flight test, demonstrating its effectiveness and potential to empower the Indian Navy in its anti-submarine warfare operations. With its advanced technology and capabilities, SMART is expected to significantly enhance the Navy’s ability to counter underwater threats. The successful test has marked a significant milestone in India’s indigenous defense capabilities.
