The Secunderabad Division of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has launched Operation Upalabdh to crack down on the illegal business of railway e-tickets. As the demand for railway travel surges during the summer season, the RPF has registered 30 cases against touts and seized 654 railway journey tickets worth ₹11.87 lakh. This marks a significant 130% increase in the registration of cases compared to the same period last year, according to officials. Senior Divisional Security Commissioner RPF Secunderabad, Debashmita Banerjee, emphasized a zero-tolerance stance towards the illegal business of railway e-tickets. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities through the Railway Helpline number 139.
