Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Adilabad, Telangana, criticizing Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi) for being afraid of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi. Shah stated that Congress and TRS cannot save Telangana from Razakars and accused both parties of appeasement. He highlighted BJP’s vision and accomplishments, including the abrogation of Article 370 and the banning of Triple Talaq. Shah promised to end Muslim reservations and provide reservation benefits to Dalits and Adivasis if voted to power. He urged the people of Telangana to support the NDA government for the country’s development. Shah also criticized Congress for stalling development and failing to fulfill promises, contrasting it with PM Modi’s transformative leadership. He accused Congress of denying the invitation for the Pran Prathistha of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, stating their fear of their vote bank. Shah expressed confidence in winning more seats in Telangana in the Lok Sabha polls, predicting a significant increase in vote share. In the 2019 elections, TRS (now known as BRS) won 9 seats, BJP secured 4 seats, Congress won 3 seats, and AIMIM emerged victorious in 1 seat. The voting for the first and second phases concluded, and the next round will be held on May 7, with vote counting on June 4.
