Over 7 years after the gang rape of two girls, including a minor, and the double murder of a couple in Dingerheri village of Haryana’s Nuh, the Special CBI court at Panchkula has awarded the death penalty to the four convicts. The judge, Rajeev Goyal, termed it a ‘rarest of rare case’ while justifying the capital punishment. The convicts, Vinay alias Lambu, Jai Bhagwan, Hemant Chauhan, and Aayan Chauhan, have been ordered to be hanged till death. The judge also imposed a combined fine of Rs. 8.20 lakh on them.
