A teenage boy was killed and two others were injured in a bomb explosion in West Bengal’s Hooghly district on Monday, according to the police. The incident happened while a group of boys were playing near a pond in Pandua. The boy succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Pandua, while the other injured persons were transferred to a healthcare facility in Chinsurah. An investigation has been launched. Locket Chatterjee, a BJP MP, claimed that the TMC was involved in the blast and accused them of fear-mongering ahead of a TMC leader’s campaign in Pandua. Abhishek Banerjee, the TMC national general secretary, is scheduled to hold a public meeting later in the day.
