More than 90 flights at Tata Group budget carrier Air India Express have been disrupted since Tuesday night by cabin crew taking sudden sick leave, the airline said on Wednesday. The disruptions have severely affected the airline’s operations, forcing schedule changes and flight cancellations. Air India Express has mobilized resources to manage the situation and has revised its flight schedule. This incident comes after Vistara Airlines, also owned by Tata Group, had to cut back on flights in April due to a pilot shortage. Tata Group announced in 2022 the merger of Air India with Vistara, while Air India Express merges with Air Asia.
