Water level in the Mullaperiyar dam is currently at 114.85 feet, which is below the maximum permissible level of 142 feet. The dam had an inflow of 3 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. Similarly, the water level in the Vaigai dam reached 56.59 feet, below its maximum level of 71 feet, with an inflow of 50 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs.
The combined storage in the Periyar credit was measured at 2,133 mcft.

According to the recorded rainfall in the area, Sathiyar dam received 45mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours. Veerapandi received 24mm, Mettupatti 20.2mm, Shanmuganadhi dam 19.4mm, Vaigai dam 12.4mm, Madurai 8mm, Uthamapalayam 7.4mm, Sothupparai dam 7mm, Thekkadi 2.6mm, Gudalur 1.6mm, Viraganur 1.2mm and Kallandiri 1mm.
