The inaugural flight of this year’s Haj pilgrimage is set to take off from Delhi’s IGI airport on Thursday at 2:20 am. The flight is destined for Madinah, and it will carry 285 people onboard. Kausar Jahan, the Delhi State Haj committee chairperson, congratulated the 285 people who will embark on the Haj Yatra. A total of 16,500 pilgrims will depart from the Delhi embarkation point this year. This information was shared with ANI by Kausar Jahan. In preparation for Haj 2024, Secretary Muktesh K Pardeshi conducted a review of the logistical and infrastructure arrangements in Jeddah and Madinah. During his visit, Pardeshi met with Saudi Arabia’s Vice Haj Minister Abdul Fattah Mashat to discuss the welfare and comfort of the pilgrims. The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia shared that Pardeshi had a fruitful meeting with Vice Haj Minister Mashat, focusing on providing the best services to Indian pilgrims. This official visit to Saudi Arabia aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs.
