Home Minister Amit Shah, during an election rally in Soroda, Odisha, alleged that Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of the state, has pushed Odisha back by 50 years during the BJD’s 25-year rule. Shah urged voters to give the BJP an opportunity to form government and bring about change. He also promised the implementation of the One Nation One Ration Card scheme in Odisha if the BJP comes to power. Shah asserted that the report on the missing keys of Puri Jagannath temple’s Ratna Bhandar will be made public within six days of forming government.
Shah hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enhancing Odisha’s reputation globally and for his efforts in ending terrorism and Naxalism in India. He compared Naveen Patnaik’s 25-year rule to Modi’s potential five-year term, urging the voters to give Modi that chance and witness the change.
In response to Shah’s allegations, close aid of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, VK Pandian, mocked the BJP’s campaign and expressed confidence in the BJD’s success in the upcoming legislative assembly polls. He stated that Naveen Patnaik will be taking oath on 9th June, emphasizing the BJD’s anticipated victory.
