Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of trying to divide the nation to stay in power, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah said the PM should remember he may not be in power in the future but the country will survive. Speaking after a public rally in Anantnag, Abdullah emphasized the need to live together and work for a better future. He criticized Modi for his attempts to divide the nation for his own political gains, stating that the nation is more important than any individual’s chair. Abdullah also denied playing the religious card and stated that no religion is bad, but it is people who use it in a negative way.

Abdullah questioned Modi’s actions, referring to his visits to the Ram temple and asking if Ram is only for Hindus or if he belongs to all. He criticized the creation of disturbance and hatred by Modi’s actions. Abdullah also commented on the fire incident at the income tax office in Delhi, alleging that the BJP wants to hide the truth because they are aware of their impending defeat in the elections. He accused the BJP of burning files and computers as they are afraid of these pieces of evidence being used against them.

In his speech, Abdullah alleged that the Modi government lied about shooting down Pakistani jets during the Balakot strikes. He claimed that it was their own jet that was downed and stated that the US confirmed that none of Pakistan’s jets were downed. Abdullah criticized the government for their constant lies and deception.
