The custody period of Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut has been extended to August 8, which was formerly supposed to exterminate on August 4. The arrest on Monday progressed in connection with Raut’s involvement of unexplainable irregularities in the Patra Chawl development in the Goregaon district. Upon thorough investigation, the Enforcement Directorate found “proceeds of crimes” under Raut and his family’s name worth ₹1 Crore, mislaid from the housing redevelopment program.
