In a recent chat with reporters, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma passed snarky comments upon being asked about AAP’s Delhi Chief Minister Arvinda Kejriwal standing against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The face-off will be interesting, as everybody needs opposition from someone, he said. In continuation, he remarked that Kejriwal is so unrecognised in many states that increasing tally of BJP in the Lok Sabha will be a “walkover”, given the former decides to take a stand. Sarma also criticised AAP’s healthcare model in Delhi.
