In the fueled wake of the demise of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Tehran woman arrested last week for “unsuitable attire” by the morality police and soon after died in a coma, the Iranian mass has stepped on the streets for a loud protest, spread among 50 cities. Women are burning their veils, with some even cutting their hair off in a “Death to the dictator” spirit. With the internet being blocked by the government officials, protestors are facing increasing deaths, allegedly carried out by security forces.
