Ladakh LAC villages soon to witness proper power line

Currently existing on 5-6 hours of power from generators, Ladakh villages and area of absent power will soon witness a power grid project across the LAC, planned by the Union Power Ministry. The line will spread to southern Pangong lake villages via Chang LA pass, along with extension of already existing Nyoma substation line covering Mudh, Dungti, Koyul, Demchok, with another branch towards Hanle, a popular tourist spot. This project will help with supply of even telecom connection and presently struggling garrisons; supposedly taking up two years to complete, once the Central government passes the sanction.
