In a series of to and fro, Indian news outlet The Wire and Silicon Valley Giant Meta, have been under the tests of unbiased usage of public power. The Wire, on October 10th, issued a post claiming that they have proof against the Meta’s breaching of human rights by giving out power to BJP’s IT team official Amit Malviya to delete any leftist content according to his liking. The proof, including an email from expert Kanishk Karan, has been denied authenticity and The Wire is now internally checking its sources. The constant back and forth of truth from both platforms has shaken up the media sphere.
