Mumbai’s Andheri (East) Assembly byelection | 3.61% voter turnout recorded till 9 a.m.

The turnout for the Mumbai Andheri (East) election polls has been shockingly low, at a 3.61% till 9 am on November 3rd, Thursday. Even though polling started at 7 am on all 256 polling stations, people weren’t witnessed participating vigorously. Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra, Shrikanth Deshpande said that everything was on time and no reports of malfunctions in EVMs have been reported. The urgent elections took place due to former legislator of Shiv Sena, Ramesh Latke passing away; following the standing of Rutuja Ramesh Latke in the current election.
