Ahmedabad: A married woman in Rajkot, Gujarat has committed suicide due to her husband’s extra marital affair. The woman consumed several medicines before taking this extreme step. She attempted to write a suicide note before that and also recorded a video. In the video, the woman mentioned having a relationship with a woman named Payal, who is allegedly involved with her husband. Following the incident, the police have filed a case against the husband and three others.

The woman, Alka Parmar, lived in Rajkot’s Laxmi Nagar area. Before consuming the medicines, she pleaded to take care of her daughter and mentioned her husband’s extra marital affair. She wrote that her husband has a relationship with a woman named Payal and she doesn’t know what to do anymore. Nobody listens to her. After writing the note, the woman consumed the medicines. She also accused her husband and other relatives of harassment in the recorded video. Both the suicide note and the video were found on her phone.

The Malviya Nagar Police Station in Rajkot has filed a case against Alka’s husband, Jasmin Parmar, his father Rameshbhai Parmar, mother Sarojben Parmar, and his girlfriend Payal. The case has been registered under sections 306, 498(A), and 114 of the Indian Penal Code. Alka Parmar, aged 32, got married to Jasmin Parmar 11 years ago. They have a 9-year-old daughter named Tanvi. Nayanbhai Chauhan filed a complaint with the police stating that a year ago, Alka had undergone surgery for a tumor in her stomach. As a result, her uterus was removed, and ever since, she was being subjected to harassment for not being able to bear a son.
