West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing a public meeting in Cooch Behar, made allegations against the BJP ahead of the Panchayat Polls. Banerjee claimed that the BJP threatened people at the borders during the elections. She cited the example of a family that tragically lost one of its members. Banerjee called on the people to vote in favour of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the upcoming Panchayat Polls.
