Ajit Pawar-led group has no right to sack me as Maha NCP president: Jayant Patil

Maharashtra NCP president Jayant Patil has declared that the Ajit Pawar-led group has no right to remove him from his post. Patil also commented that all 53 MLAs of the NCP are still loyal to party chief Sharad Pawar. The Ajit Pawar camp recently appointed Sunil Tatkare as the new Maharashtra NCP president and requested the disqualification of Jayant Patil and Jitendra Awhad from the Maharashtra Assembly. Sharad Pawar had previously removed Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare for anti-party activities. Patil has taken action against the nine NCP MLAs who joined the government. The Ajit Pawar faction claims to have the support of 40 NCP MLAs.
