The ongoing third decade of the 21st century is deemed a golden period by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that it should be fully utilized, ensuring that no part of the nation lags behind in progress. During his visit to Telangana, Modi laid the foundation stone for various infrastructure development projects worth approximately Rs 6,100 crore. In his address, he highlighted the increasing global investments in India and the state’s role as a hub connecting neighboring economic corridors. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Tourism Minister, and newly-appointed Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy were present on the occasion. Gadkari further emphasized Modi’s focus on infrastructure development and announced that infrastructure projects worth Rs 2 lakh crore are expected to be completed in Telangana by the end of 2024. The projects for which the foundation stone was laid include a railway wagon manufacturing unit. Before the event, Modi visited the historic Bhadrakali temple in Warangal. The ruling BRS party boycotted Modi’s visit, alleging the NDA government’s neglect towards Telangana in the last 9 years.
