During a regional consultative meeting held on Sunday, J.P. Nadda discussed the party’s organisational strength and the current political scenario in the southern states. The meeting, attended by the respective state party presidents and those in charge, focused on Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and more. The central leadership, represented by party general secretaries and others, stated that a strategy would be chalked out for the 2024 general election and the Assembly poll this year. Nadda stressed the importance of preventing further erosion in the party’s ranks and instead focusing on attracting disgruntled leaders from other parties. It is also reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may consider contesting from a southern constituency in the 2024 election.
