Lakshya Sen loses to Li Shi Feng in the U.S. Open semifinals

Ace Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen put up a strong fight in the men’s singles semifinals of the U.S. Open badminton tournament but was unable to overcome reigning All England champion Li Shi Feng of China. Sen, who was seeded third, lost to second-seed Feng in a grueling match that lasted one hour and 16 minutes. The final score was 17-21, 24-22, 17-21. The opening game saw a close fight between the two players, but Feng eventually took the lead due to some unforced errors from Sen. Sen made a comeback in the second game, drawing level at 22 points and taking the match into a decider. However, Feng dominated in the decider and secured the win. Sen had previously defeated Feng in the Canada Open, winning the title. Despite his loss in the U.S. Open semifinals, Sen’s performance throughout the tournament has been commendable.
