BJP’s Downfall has Started from Karnataka, Won’t Win 2024 Lok Sabha Election: Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared on Monday that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) will emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha election next year. He further stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already begun to decline in Karnataka, where they lost the Assembly elections in May. Siddaramaiah predicted that the BJP will not obtain a clear mandate in the Parliamentary elections. He blamed the price rise and destruction of the economy on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, causing difficulties for farmers, Dalits, and economically weaker sections. Siddaramaiah also accused the BJP of fostering communalism and instilling fear in the people. He challenged the BJP’s claims that opposition leaders are uniting due to fear of Modi, stating that the Congress won in all the places where Modi campaigned during the Assembly election. Siddaramaiah addressed the Janata Dal (Secular) possibly aligning with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and criticized the party for having no ideology as they once formed an alliance with the BJP to form a government in the state. Opposition leaders from 23 parties are expected to convene in Bengaluru to strategize for a unified fight against the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
