Mumbai Gets 100 mm Rainfall in 24 Hours, IMD Predicts Heavy Showers in City and Suburbs

Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours, with an average of 100 mm recorded. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the heavy showers will continue in the city and suburbs for the next 24 hours, accompanied by strong winds reaching 50-60 kmph. The downpour resulted in water-logging in low-lying areas and disruptions to local train services. However, early Thursday morning saw a reduction in rain intensity in some parts of the city. Despite slight delays, train services remain operational. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus services are also running normally with no route diversions.
