PM Modi in Sikar, Rajasthan on July 27 to Release Samman Nidhi to Farmers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting in Sikar, Rajasthan on July 27, as confirmed by party sources. During the visit, the prime minister will release the 14th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, transferring the scheme’s payments into the bank accounts of beneficiaries. The PM-KISAN scheme, initiated by the Government of India, aims to provide a minimum income support of up to Rs 6,000 per year to farmers. The scheme was announced in the 2019 Interim Union Budget.

Prior to the prime minister’s visit, BJP state president C P Joshi and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary held a meeting in Sikar to ensure the smooth execution of the event. The meeting was attended by BJP’s Sikar MP Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati, Jhunjhunu MP Narendra Khichad, state office bearers, district officials, and party workers.

C P Joshi emphasized the need for all-out efforts to make the prime minister’s upcoming meet a success. The event assumes significance as it not only marks the release of the Samman Nidhi installment but also provides a platform for the prime minister to interact with the farmers and address their concerns.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has been instrumental in providing much-needed financial support to the farming community. Through direct cash transfers, the scheme aims to alleviate the economic strain faced by farmers and enhance their financial stability. The scheme has been implemented across the country, benefiting numerous farmers who rely on agriculture as their primary source of livelihood.
