Actor Darren Kent, best recognized for his portrayal in the popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’, has passed away at the age of late 30s. The news of his demise was confirmed by his talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, in a statement posted on Twitter. Kent, born and raised in Essex, had attended Italia Conti and graduated in 2007. Starting with his debut in the 2008 horror film ‘Mirrors’, he gained recognition for his role in ‘Game of Thrones’. Kent played the character of a goatherd in Slavers Bay. He was last seen in the movie ‘Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ as a reanimated corpse. Along with ‘Game of Thrones’, his other acting credits include ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, ‘Marshal’s Law’, ‘Bloody Cuts’, ‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’, ‘Blood Drive’, and ‘Birds Sorrow’ among others. Kent had also written and directed the short film ‘You Know Me’ in 2021, which earned him an award. He had battled with a skin disorder, osteoporosis, and arthritis, similar to a character he portrayed in ‘Sunny Boy’, for which he received the Van D’or Awards for Best Actor in 2012.
