The viewing figure zoomed beyond all expectations with 1,921,000 people on average tuning to the state television. Besides, the post-match broadcast attracted a 1,739,000 audience.
The New Zealand government expected to sell 500,000 tickets for the 32 matches that were to be played in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in two host countries of Australia and New Zealand. But it sold a total of 708,743 tickets. As the world cup advanced, more and more people got enchanted by the game and 24,439 was the average attendance for 29 matches played in the two countries of Australia and New Zealand.
