HBO Announces Premiere Date and Releases Teaser Trailer for ‘The Gilded Age’ Season 2

HBO has announced that the second season of ‘The Gilded Age’ will premiere on October 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will also be available for streaming on HBO Max. Alongside this news, HBO has unveiled the teaser trailer for the upcoming season.
The new season kicks off on Easter morning in 1883, following the storyline set in this period. Bertha Russell’s endeavor to secure a box at the Academy of Music is declined, and the subsequent episodes follow her pursuit to challenge the established order. Bertha aims not only to establish herself in Society but also potentially assume a prominent role within it.
George Russell, facing a growing union at his steel plant in Pittsburgh, confronts his own battle. At the Brook House, Marian discreetly teaches at a girls’ school while Ada initiates an unexpected courtship, much to everyone’s astonishment and disapproval by Agnes. In Brooklyn, the Scott family begins recovering from a startling revelation, and Peggy engages her activist spirit through work at the NY Globe alongside T. Thomas Fortune.
The ensemble cast for the new season includes Ben Ahlers, Michael Cerveris, Kelley Curran, Taissa Farmiga, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Christopher Denham, David Furr, Jack Gilpin, Simon Jones, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Debra Monk, Kristine Nielsen, Taylor Richardson, Blake Ritson, John Douglas Thompson, Ashlie Atkinson, Laura Benanti, Douglas Sills, Erin Wilhelmi, Nathan Lane, Kelli O’Hara, Patrick Page, Harry Richardson, Audra McDonald, Ward Horton, Matilda Lawler, and Robert Sean Leonard.
The series was conceived by Julian Fellowes, who also fulfills the roles of writer and executive producer. Sonja Warfield shares these responsibilities and serves as an executive producer, while Michael Engler directs and produces. Gareth Neame, David Crockett, Bob Greenblatt, and Salli Richardson-Whitfield are also among the executive producers. ‘The Gilded Age’ is a collaboration between HBO and Universal Television, continuing its exploration of the societal dynamics and challenges of the past.
