Newly-crowned world champion Neeraj Chopra secured a second-place finish at the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich. Despite not being at his best, Chopra managed a final round throw of 85.71m in the men’s javelin event. The 25-year-old Indian athlete, who also holds the Olympic title, produced three legal throws measuring 80.79m, 85.22m, and 85.71m. In contrast, three of his throws were fouls. Chopra’s performance placed him behind Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, who won with a throw of 85.86m and had previously earned a bronze medal in the World Championships.
