Mercedes-Benz has launched the EQE SUV, its latest luxury electric vehicle. As part of the company’s switch to electric vehicles, Mercedes-Benz has been steadily building its luxury EV fleet. The EQE SUV comes in multiple variants and trim lines globally. Powered by a 90.6 kWh battery, the EQE SUV supports 170 kW of DC fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged up to 80% capacity in just over 30 minutes. The top-of-the-line EQE 500 4Matic has a 300 kW output. With an electric motor producing 408 hp and a peak torque of 858 Nm, the EQE SUV delivers a smooth and steady driving experience. It has a range of 465 to 550 km on a single charge, although this may vary depending on driving conditions. The car’s design is aerodynamic and futuristic, featuring a black star-pattern front grille and a digital headlight system. The illuminated running boards add to the overall sleek look of the vehicle. Inside, the EQE SUV is equipped with state-of-the-art technology features, including a 56-inch wide hyperscreen that extends from one side of the vehicle to the other. The OLED central and passenger screens offer access to various high-tech features. The car also features massage seats with eight different options for the driver and front passenger. The EQE SUV has a 400V lithium-ion battery that can be charged on both DC and AC power. The AC charging capacity is 11 kW, which means it could take up to eight hours to fully charge the battery. The vehicle comes with a 10-year or 2.5 lakh km battery warranty. The EQE SUV offers advanced driver assist features, although some may need India-specific tweaks. The car’s handling is impressive, with the AWD system handling turns and off-roading with ease. The range of the EQE SUV may vary depending on usage and driving conditions, but Mercedes-Benz promises a lower range of 465 km per WLPT testing standard.
