In the wake of communal barbs hurled at him in Lok Sabha, BSP MP Danish Ali has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to publicly condemn the ‘reprehensible conduct’ of BJP member Ramesh Bidhuri. Ali emphasized the importance of establishing decorum in parliamentary proceedings and ensuring the well-being of all MPs, irrespective of their political affiliations. Ali’s letter also highlighted the incident during the recent special session in Lok Sabha and called for accountability and suitable punishment for Bidhuri. Additionally, Ali requested enhanced security for himself in light of threats to his life.
Ali further expressed his concerns about BJP MPs, including Nishikant Dubey, attributing statements to him that he never made in the House. This misrepresentation of his words not only undermines his credibility but also hampers the integrity of parliamentary debates. Ali’s letter to PM Modi serves as a reminder of the responsibility of the Leader of the House in Lok Sabha to ensure free speech and maintain a conducive environment for all MPs.
