Businessman Darshan Hiranandani has come forward to admit that he used TMC Lok Sabha member Mahua Moitra’s parliamentary login credentials to question the government about industrialist Gautam Adani. Hiranandani claimed that Moitra made demands such as expensive luxury items in exchange for her support.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has written to the Lok Sabha Speaker, requesting the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate the allegations made against Moitra. The request is based on a letter from advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai, who claims to have irrefutable evidence of bribes exchanged between Moitra and Hiranandani for raising questions in Parliament. According to Dehadrai, more than 80% of the questions raised by Moitra were aimed at protecting Hiranandani’s business interests.
Moitra has rejected these allegations and instead accuses Dubey of targeting her due to her concerns about favoritism towards the Adani group. The controversy continues to unfold as both sides defend their positions and await the outcome of the proposed inquiry.
