Construction of a cluster of prefabricated houses for the people displaced by the ongoing ethnic conflict in Thoubal district’s Yaithibi Khunou in Manipur has been completed. The water supply system for the complex is being taken up and will be operational soon. The temporary shelter complex will house 400 families and is expected to be inaugurated within a fortnight. State Chief Secretary Dr Vineet Joshi visited the site and assessed the construction activities, suggesting the set-up of a water reservoir on the premises. This initiative aims to provide better living spaces for the displaced people and improve their living conditions.
