Sarabjot Singh has secured an Olympic quota place for India in shooting by winning a bronze medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the Asian Shooting Championship. He finished behind two Chinese shooters, Zhang Yifan and Liu Jinyao. This is India’s eighth quota place in shooting at the Paris Olympics. In the women’s event, none of the Indian shooters qualified for the top-eight round. Sarabjot’s achievement is a significant boost for Indian shooting.
