Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, officially launched the ‘Nijam Gelavali Yatra’ (Truth should win) from Tirupati district. The yatra is organized to provide solace to the families of the deceased individuals who lost their lives in connection with the arrest of Mr. Naidu in the alleged Skill Development case and his subsequent detention in Rajamahendravaram jail. Ms. Bhuvaneswari, who has so far stayed away from politics, is making a full-scale public appearance for the first time. The yatra began with a sentimental gesture as she garlanded the statue of her father, former Chief Minister Late N.T. Rama Rao, in Naravaripalle village. The current phase of the yatra will cover Tirupati, Chandragiri, and Srikalahasti constituencies of Tirupati district, and similar visits to party followers will be made in constituencies across the State.
