The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 10:19 AM (IST) on Thursday in a weak market. Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. were among the top gainers with a 3.2% increase. On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Ashok Leyland Ltd., Balkrishna Industries Ltd., Bharat Forge Ltd., and Tube Investments of India Ltd. were the top losers on the index. At the time of writing this report, the Nifty Auto index was down 1.27% at 16005.1. The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 206.95 points at 18915.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 661.82 points at 63387.24. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 3 were trading in the green, while 47 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, JP Power, YES Bank, and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE. In today’s trade, shares of Premier Poly, Kapston Facilities, Sical Logistics, Plaza Wires, and Share India Sec hit their fresh 52-week highs, while Jay Bharat Marut, Sai Silks, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Adani Gas, and Updater Service hit fresh 52-week lows.
