South star Vijay’s action-packed film ‘Leo’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, continues to impress audiences even after sixteen days in theaters. The movie has received positive responses and has captivated audiences nationwide. It has amassed a staggering nett domestic collection of Rs 319.8 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. In Kerala, ‘Leo’ has become the highest-grossing Tamil film, surpassing ‘Jailer’ with earnings of Rs 58 crore. The film’s worldwide gross collection stands at Rs 557.8 crore, establishing its success. However, ‘Leo’ faces a significant challenge in surpassing the lifetime collection of ‘Jailer’, which earned Rs 604 crore worldwide. As the film enters its third weekend, fans eagerly await the final numbers.

‘Leo’ marks the reunion between Vijay and Kanagaraj after the 2021 blockbuster ‘Master’. It boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Gautam Vasudev Menon, and others. ‘Leo’ is said to be an official remake of the 2005 film ‘A History Of Violence’.

With the Diwali weekend approaching and the release of ‘Tiger 3’ on November 12, challenges lie ahead for ‘Leo’. The decision to release English versions of the film in South Indian markets might also affect its performance. Fans are curious to see if ‘Leo’ will manage to surpass the outstanding collection of ‘Jailer’.
