Customers in several states, including Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin, are advised to dispose of or return the recalled nuggets to their place of purchase.
The recall was announced by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) following consumer complaints about the presence of metal in the nuggets. There has been one minor oral injury reported, but no other injuries or illnesses have been reported.
The packages containing the affected nuggets have lot codes 2483BRV0207, 2483BRV0208, 2483BRV0209, and 2483BRV0210, with an establishment number ‘P-7211’ on the back of the package.
Tyson Foods is cooperating with the recall and is working to remove the affected product from distribution. Customers who have concerns about an injury or illness are advised to seek medical attention.
