Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended their birthday wishes to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani. PM Modi referred to Advani as a beacon of integrity and dedication, highlighting his monumental contributions that have strengthened the nation. He commended Advani’s visionary leadership, which has furthered national progress and unity. PM Modi also wished him good health and a long life, acknowledging Advani’s continuing efforts towards nation-building that inspire the 1.4 billion citizens of India. Amit Shah echoed similar sentiments, describing Advani as an eternal source of inspiration for BJP workers. Shah praised Advani’s tireless hard work and organizational skills, emphasizing his crucial role in nourishing the party and building its workers. He recognized Advani’s incomparable contribution since the inception of the BJP and hoped for his long life and good health. Lal Krishna Advani, born in 1927 in Karachi, began his political career as a volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He served as the Minister of Home Affairs in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government from 1998 to 2004. Additionally, Advani was the Deputy Prime Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s leadership from 2002 to 2004. In recognition of his remarkable achievements, Advani was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor, in 2015.
