The Nifty Bank index closed on a negative note on Wednesday. Shares of Au Small Finance Bank Ltd., IDFC First Bank Ltd., Bank of Baroda, Bandhan Bank Ltd., and HDFC Bank Ltd. were the top gainers, while ICICI Bank Ltd., Punjab National Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., and Federal Bank Ltd. were the top losers. The Nifty Bank index closed 0.18% down at 43658.65. The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 36.8 points at 19443.5.
