Government Medical College (GMC), Kozhikode, emerged as the leader on the third day of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) interzone arts festival. GMC scored 102 points, leaving other colleges behind. The festival, held at Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier (VPSV) Ayurveda College campus in Kottakkal, saw participants from various medical colleges showcasing their talent in different categories. GMC, Kollam secured the second position with 61 points, and VPSV Ayurveda College secured the third position with 50 points. The event witnessed participants competing in categories such as Kolkali, skit, mime, extempore, elocution, and more. Amal Krishna V. and team from GMC, Kozhikode, won the first prize in Kolkali, while Vismaya Viswanath and team from Ahalia Ayurveda Medical College, Palakkad, clinched the first prize in skit. The festival also witnessed impressive performances in English extempore, Malayalam extempore, Malayalam elocution, Hindi elocution, and Hindi extempore. The students from Government Ayurveda Medical College, Kannur, won the first prize in mime. Several colleges excelled in various categories such as music, mono act, cartooning, digital painting, Arabana muttu, caricature, Sanskrit short story writing, mimicry, Mehandi designing, gazal, Thiruvathira, Mapilapattu, Hindi versification, Vattappattu, western group song, Aksharaslokam, and wind instrument (western).
