At least 20 people have lost their lives due to lightning strikes during unseasonal rains in various districts of Gujarat, India. The State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) confirmed that four individuals died in Dahod district, three in Bharuch, two in Tapi, and one each in Ahmedabad, Amreli, Banaskantha, Botad, Kheda, Mehsana, Panchmahal, Sabarkantha, Surat, Surendranagar, and Devbhumi Dwarka. The unfortunate incidents occurred as a result of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning strikes. Gujarat Chief Minister Amit Shah expressed his condolences for the loss of lives.
