Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated a 4.2 lakh tonne capacity edible oil refinery established by Gokul Agro Resources Pvt. Ltd. in Nellore district with an investment of ₹250 crore. The refinery is expected to provide employment opportunities to 1,150 people. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a ₹2.5 crore sesame seeds processing unit in Vizianagaram district. The unit, operated by the L. Kota Jai Kisan Farmers Producers’ Organisation, employs 20 persons.
In addition to this, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy also opened common facility centres at the printing cluster in Kakinada industrial estate. These centres, established by the Industries Department with an investment of ₹15 crore, have employment potential for 1,000 persons.
Moreover, the Chief Minister launched 21 industrial development projects and factory complexes in 18 districts, which have an investment potential of ₹286 crore. The projects are expected to attract investments worth ₹1,785 crore and provide employment to 18,034 persons.
Furthermore, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for a ₹144 crore maize-based food processing unit in Eluru district. The unit, to be established by Sri Venkateswara Bio Tech Pvt. Ltd., will provide employment opportunities to 310 individuals. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for a ₹13 crore Blue Fin Enterprises food products unit in Vizianagaram district, which will employ 45 persons. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a ₹12 crore tomato processing unit in Kurnool district, to be operated by the Pathikonda Farmers Producers’ Organisation.
Lastly, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a ₹280 crore pharma unit of Sigachi Industries in Kurnool district. This unit is expected to provide employment to 850 individuals. He also launched the works of the nutraceuticals unit of RPS Industries, which will invest ₹90 crore and provide employment to 285 persons.
