India is on the verge of eliminating Naxalism, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking at the Border Security Force’s 59th Raising Day celebrations, Shah stated that the Narendra Modi government is determined to win the battle against Naxalism. He highlighted the decline in Naxal violence and deaths, as well as the reduction in affected districts over the past 10 years. Shah also mentioned the decrease in the number of police stations impacted by left-wing extremism. He expressed confidence in the ongoing efforts of the security forces and discussed recent operations in Jharkhand. Shah concluded by affirming the establishment of numerous new security forces’ camps in affected areas since 2019. Furthermore, he emphasized the government’s achievements in countering insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeast, establishing security dominance.
