The Central government is planning to present two crucial Bills related to Jammu and Kashmir in the lower house. These are the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will introduce both Bills, with the former aimed at amending the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act of 2004. The Bills are expected to be considered for passage in the upcoming winter session of the parliament.
