Lalduhoma, the chief ministerial face of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), expressed satisfaction with his party’s victory in the Mizoram assembly polls. As the ex-IPS officer who had served as the security in-charge of former prime minister Indira Gandhi, he emphasized the importance of building strong ties with the Union government. Lalduhoma stated that while his party would maintain good relations with the Centre, they would not join any political grouping at the national level.
