Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch Confirmed for January 16, 2023

The Hyundai Creta facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads and will officially launch in the Indian market on January 16, 2023. Despite being heavily camouflaged, the test mule has revealed some design changes. It is expected to feature split vertical LED headlamps, H-shaped LED DRLs, and a new grille design. The silhouette remains similar to the current-gen model, while the rear will sport revised tail lamps and a potentially new tailgate.

In terms of the interior, the Creta facelift is expected to receive minimal changes such as upholstery and a new interior theme. However, the major additions will be a 360-degree camera and an ADAS suite, similar to the Kia Seltos.

The Hyundai Creta facelift is anticipated to be powered by a 1.5-litre NA turbo-petrol engine, delivering a peak power of 160 hp. It is likely to be paired with a manual gearbox and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The upcoming SUV will also continue to offer a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

As for the price, the Hyundai Creta facelift is expected to be priced higher compared to the current-gen Creta. Once launched, it will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Citroen C3 Aircross, and Honda Elevate in the Indian market.
