In Flames, directed by Zarrar Kahn, won the Yusr Award for best film in competition at the Red Sea International Film Festival. The Pakistani-Canadian horror film tells the story of a young woman in Karachi who is haunted by visions of the dead after her family’s patriarch dies. In Flames was chosen as Pakistan’s official submission to the 96th Academy Awards. Tarsem Singh’s film Dear Jassi won the Silver Yusr prize at the festival.
