Ashok Leyland Bags Order for 552 Buses from TNSTC

Ashok Leyland, the Indian bus manufacturer, has won a contract from the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) to deliver 552 ultra-low entry diesel non-AC buses for a total value of around ₹501 crore. The buses, equipped with BS VI 12-meter ULE rear engines, will be used for city operations in Tamil Nadu. The contract is part of a project funded by the German Development bank (KfW). These buses are expected to be delivered between April and July 2024. Ashok Leyland is the largest bus manufacturer in India and the fourth largest globally. The company has been a trusted brand for TNSTC, which currently operates over 18,477 Ashok Leyland buses. Ashok Leyland expressed its gratitude for the trust placed in their products and services by TNSTC through this order.
